I assume this was going to be some kind of large storage and distribution center. Seems they ran out of money before they got done. I wonder if it has anything to do with Wal-Mart's quiet exit from the German market. They pulled out of a major center in downtown Berlin a month before they were supposed to open, and withdrew from the marketplace.
