Amsterdam - Rijksmuseum
Amsterdam - Rijksmuseum

I got to Amsterdam this morning. I left my apartment in Berlin at 4.30 AM to get to Tegel so I could fly into Schiphol at 6 AM. When I left Berlin it was dark, and when I arrived in A'dam it was still dark.

Brutal.

The various sleeping pills didn't work, and I only got three hours of sleep before the flight - followed by 10 hours of meetings. At some point I got pissed and started snapping at people, which somehow seemed to get everything working better. Go figure.

I took this shot this morning between unloading my laptop and throwing on my suit. New shirt, new tie, I'm pleased with the combo.

This is sunrise over the roof of the Rijksmuseum and the Heineken factory as seen from a suite in the hotel in Amsterdam which K and I now co-own. My little snap-shot camera is resting on the railing with a time release to avoid camera shake.

After all the meetings I went out with several members of the team tonight, got buzzed on good Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, and talked on the phone to my one true love.

...who has yet to fully forgive me for not being home today. (It's K's B-Day... and I'm 8,000 miles away!)
